I decided to make a personal page in the Time Periods Game website, because I had some of my friends asking, so,

‘how are you involved in this’, and ‘why are you being so visible inside someone else’s game?’ and ‘why is this important to you?’

ALL good questions!

The Back Story:

First, as you may know, coaches and consultants with BIG missions hire me to create games to increase their impact and income. Over the last 6 years, I have created games that have been mostly used inside coaching and consulting businesses for lead generation, engagement and adding FUN to those businesses. 

 

Last year, Christy Guyer came to us with a BIG mission, and we saw that the possibilities were global (see below why I believe in this mission).

 

In my game-making matrix, there are 3 rounds to the game-making game.

 

We took the Time Periods game through the first 2: Researching + Creating the game and Beta testing + Pilot Program of starting to monetize and create impact. When Christy was ready for the 3rd round which is ‘Maximizing the Impact of the game through scaling and production’, we all felt crowd-funding was the way to go.

 

Along with Astrid Mueller (my co-pilot for games), we decided it was time for us to up-level the services we provide for game makers who want to make a world impact and step into the crowdfunding world ourselves. So we joined Christy’s team to launch this game.

 

We feel this game is the right game for our next step in game making.

Why THIS mission:

For me, the reason I am excited to be part of Normalize’s mission team is because:

  1. The mission is BIG and audacious. It takes on the world of stubborn resistance to the gentle power of women and says, let’s change that.

  2. It is a mission that is universally impacts women and is uniquely felt, and

  3. You can see the impact of the shift in one person…that it has mattered and shifted their life for the positive moving us all toward:

  4. World Peace. When listening to half of the world’s population, acknowledging their struggle and partnering with others, one at a time, the world becomes a more peaceful place.

Finally, I believe there is a space for joy and playfulness in this conversation that will move it forward in a way that only conversation and education cannot. Let’s make a game.
